Tottenham Hotspur are now in advanced talks to sign Leeds United winger Daniel James and are 'confident' about a deal.

The Lowdown: Spurs keep busy...

Most recently sealing a permanent move for defender Cristian Romero, it appears Spurs are not quite done with their transfer business after their plethora of activity.

The Lilywhites have sealed a eight major Premier League signings including the Argentine with Ivan Perisic, Fraser Forster, Yves Bissouma, Richarlison, Clement Lenglet, Djed Spence and Destiny Udogie also putting pen to paper.

Daniel James (Leeds United) and Yannick Carrasco (Atletico Madrid) have also been linked with moves to N17 and verified journalist Kery News has shared an update on the former.

Kery News explained:

"Tottenham are in advanced talks with Leeds United, and they are confident of signing Welsh winger Daniel James."

The Verdict: Make the move?

James was a mainstay for Leeds last season, playing the fifth-most minutes out of anyone in their squad and racking up their third-highest rate of shots at goal per 90 (WhoScored).

While he attracted some criticism for his performances over that campaign, the 24-year-old is known for his 'frightening' pace which can be a nightmare for defenders.

At the very least, James could be of use for Conte as a rotational option and someone who can inject some much-needed energy late in tough games.
