As per Football Insider, there has been a Tottenham Hotspur transfer update on one of manager Antonio Conte's major priorities - and it involves Southampton star Tino Livramento.

The Lowdown: Spurs chase right-wing-back...

Over the January transfer window, it is no secret that Spurs were chasing the signing of a right-wing-back perfect for Conte's system amid question marks surrounding defender Emerson Royal and Matt Doherty at the time.

Indeed, The Athletic first broke news that ex-Wolves ace Adama Traore was on Fabio Paratici's radar, yet after nearly a month of talks, Barcelona eventually swooped in and hijacked the transfer.

This resulted in Conte not being able to shore up his options out wide, but Football Insider have now brought an update as Spurs and Paratici make moves for Livramento.

The Latest: Spurs make 'preliminary' moves...

According to their Spurs sources, Conte is very much still eyeing a right-back and sees that signing as a 'key priority'.

As well as this, Tottenham have set their sights on a brand new target in Saints ace Livramento with 'preliminary moves' already made by Paratici.

Football Insider add that both Doherty and Royal haven't really convinced Conte and it is likely at least one will be sold in the summer.

The Verdict: Ideal target?

Chelsea apparently have a buy-back clause for Livramento which becomes active in 2023, but if Spurs can nip in before then, he could be a brilliant capture.

The 19-year-old, despite his young age, has been one of Ralph Hasenhuttl's standout performers this campaign with his teammate Theo Walcott even comparing Livramento to Spurs legend Gareth Bale (talkSPORT).

Walcott also raved over the 'absolutely fantastic' teenager and it's safe to say he should at least be a candidate for Conte's RWB transfer target list.
