On August 15th 2016, Crystal Palace confirmed that Yannick Bolasie had joined Everton for an undisclosed fee, but BBC Sport went on to report that the fee was £25 million.
The 29-year-old made his debut for Crystal Palace in a 2–1 defeat at Middlesbrough and then went on to score his first goal in a 5-0 home win against Ipswich Town.
A lot of supporters were gutted with the club’s decision to sell winger, as they took to the confirmation on Twitter to express their disappointment over his departure.

Yannick Bolasie enjoyed permanent spells at Hillingdon Borough, Floriana and Plymouth Argyle towards the start of his career, along with loan moves to Rushden & Diamonds, and Barnet twice.
The Congo international rocked up at Bristol City after making a name for himself at Argyle, but he never really managed to reach his full potential at Ashton Gate.
Crystal Palace secured the services of Yannick Bolasie in August 2012.

He managed to produce three goals and eight assists during his first season at Selhurst Park, which helped the Eagles secure promotion to the Premier League via the play-offs.
Sadly, things didn’t exactly go to plan for Bolasie during his first season in the Premier League as he could only conjure up five assists, but he made a name for himself in the top-flight in the follow campaign as he netted four goals and provided 11 assists, with his trickery never failing to amaze supporters.
Indeed, the winger went on to enjoy a successful final season at Palace, but one of the most memorable things he ever managed to do was to score an 11-minute hat-trick against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light, as he became the first player to ever score a hat-trick for Crystal Palace in the Premier League.
But, he was sold to Everton for a reported £25 million during the summer of 2016.
It comes as no surprise that fans were gutted to see him leave as he really was a joy to watch at Selhurst Park, with his skill and trickery constantly working wonders. Indeed, the Congo international and Wilfried Zaha built a dangerous partnership that fans will always remember.
