Trophy-laden star could be set for Chelsea move as club identify priority

As Chelsea close in on a fifth Premier League title, the punters propping up the bar in the Transfer Tavern have been waxing lyrical on the players who helped Antonio Conte on his way there.

The likes of Eden Hazard, N’Golo Kante and Diego Costa figure mainly amongst the discussion, though a few of the Blues in the bar have been raising Cesc Fabregas’ name.

While the Spaniard has struggled to wholly impose himself on first-team proceedings, his presence off the bench in changing games has been a huge asset, so reports from Italy of late have split opinion.

According to Corriere Dello SportSerie A giants AC Milan are ready to make the World Cup winner their transfer priority this summer, as they look to rebuild.

Though the Kante-Matic partnership has served Chelsea well this season, Fabregas is highly regarded in the pub and the idea of losing him isn’t an overly popular one.

Still, the Rossoneri are understood to have earmarked him as their main target this summer, which may be too tempting for power brokers at the Bridge.
