U20’s Deal To Be Completed In A Matter Of Weeks

The Liverpool Echo are reporting that Liverpool are willing to let defender Chris Mavinga leave the club.

The French Under 20 international spent last year on loan at Belgian club Racing Genk, and is now available for transfer for approximately £1million, according to the paper.

The 20 year old, who can play at either left back or centre half, was signed in 2009, and is now being tracked by Rennes, Villarreal as well as Genk who want him on a permanent deal.

Mavinga is currently with the France squad ahead of the U20 World Cup in Colombia, and it is likely that any deal will be finalised after he returns from the tournament.
