Unreal: The potential new-look Chelsea frontline including Alvaro Morata

Whilst the Diego Costa saga is carrying on, the Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are already thinking about who might come in to replace him, should he leave…

The Spanish forward has been a vital part of Chelsea’s impressive start to the 2016/17 season – but it could be all about to be crashing down.

Diego Costa is reportedly ready to leave the club after an offer from China, and whilst Antonio Conte is likely hopeful of hanging on to him – the Spaniard’s future certainly hangs in the balance.

Whilst any deal to take him away from Stamford Bridge is yet to come to fruition, it would appear as though Antonio Conte isn’t taking any chances – with the Evening Standard reporting that the Italian is lining up a summer move for Alvaro Morata – who would likely be seen as a replacement for Costa.

It would certainly require a huge move, given how highly-rated Morata is at Madrid – but if Conte can get the deal done, he will be able to build quite a remarkable strike force.

With that said, is this the potential new-look Chelsea frontline including Alvaro Morata?

 LW – Eden Hazard

Eden Hazard is the focal point of this attack, and whilst he hasn’t been in his best form this season – he is beginning to really become a key feature in the Chelsea first team once again.

Offering goals, assists and dynamic runs – defenders often can’t cope with the talented winger, and whilst Diego Costa has gotten much of the credit this season, Eden Hazard often isn’t far behind.

He is only getting better at present, and a new striking partner might make him even better.

 ST – Alvaro Morata

Should Diego Costa leave the club, there would be few better replacements than Alvaro Morata.

The Spaniard only returned to Real Madrid over the summer, but he has been impressive since returning to the side – with Antonio Conte seemingly convinced that he could be perfect for Chelsea.

He has scored 5 goals in just 6 La Liga starts, and if Conte follows up on his interest – he would undoubtedly turn his head at the offer of regular game time.

 RW – Willian

Willian has been in and out of the Chelsea first team this season, but he has finally begun to show his worth over the last few weeks.

He has scored a few goals and forced his way back into the side in recent weeks, and long-term, you would expect the Brazilian to become a regular feature going forward.

The Brazilian’s defensive work rate is absolutely vital, giving Antonio Conte another dimension to his system.
