Our Aston Villa fans here in the Transfer Tavern are hoping for a bright future with their club looking far more stable than it has in recent seasons.
It doesn’t take a footballing expert to realise that the club have been in trouble for a number of years and that, of course, culminated in them dropping last season with a real whimper.
Now, though, there is hope back at the club with Steve Bruce in charge and we should expect this fallen giant to really make a charge at promotion next season.
For sure, the club is still a Premier League side in many respects and that has duly been reflected by the fact that Villa Park has been awarded as having the best pitch in the Championship this season.
Naturally, then, fans were pleased with this and so here is the best of the reaction:
