Our Aston Villa fans here in the Transfer Tavern can’t wait for their side to get going this season coming as they are hoping for a promotion winning campaign.
Indeed, many have Villa as the side to beat in the charge for the Premier League this season and you can understand why that is.
They have Steve Bruce in charge – a man who knows how to get sides promoted – whilst they also have some top players and the resources to bring in more in this window.
Crucially, too, they have an owner in Dr. Tony Xia who is well engaged with the club and the fans and is clearly determined to give it everything to get the club back into the top flight.
For sure, then, his latest tweet has stayed in line with that tone with him delivering a ‘no surrender’ type message.

It is a difficult league 2 games a week and some of the pitches not up to standard and Bruce is definitely the right man for the job !
