The Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern are desperate for their side to go the distance in the Europa League. Their form in the Premier League isn’t too good, and at present, a top-four finish is looking increasingly unlikely.
Indeed, Arsenal have been unable to compete at the highest level in England for quite some time now, and at present, there is no clear route for them back into the top four.
However, that doesn’t mean that the Champions League is out of the question next season. To the contrary, their participation in the Europa League this term could be their most obvious route into Europe next term – with the winner of the competition earning participation in Europe’s premier competition for the following campaign.
For Arsenal, then, this tournament is huge, and the Gunners need to take it seriously. Next up for them is a clash with Ostersunds this evening, and it’s game that Wenger really needs to be winning.
However, after losing to Tottenham over the weekend, a few personnel changes could be needed.
With that said, Wenger simply must drop these 2 Arsenal players against Ostersund – agreed?
Mohamed Elneny

Mohamed Elneny hasn’t really been able to cement his place in this team, and that’s with good reason.
The midfielder, simply put, isn’t good enough. He’s a decent rotational option, and he can do a job if Arsenal are desperately trying to hold on to a lead, but he’s not very useful otherwise.
This game, then, might not suit him. Arsenal are likely to play much of the fixture on the front foot, and so the three-man midfield that Wenger utilised against Tottenham might not be needed.
Another attacker could suit Arsenal’s needs better.
Petr Cech
Petr Cech has had a tough season, there is no doubt about it.
The 35-year-old has had a storied career, but perhaps it’s time for him to start thinking about hanging up his boots.
His form over the last few months has been poor, and he has cost the Gunners goals on more than one occasion.
David Ospina clearly isn’t a world-beater, but he’s a fantastic player on his day, and Wenger should give him a chance in Europe.
