Our Newcastle fans here in the Transfer Tavern are remaining upbeat this season even if recent events have not gone how they’d imagined they would.
The Magpies had been looking good to waltz into the sunset with the Championship title not too long ago but now things are back in the balance.
Losing at home to Fulham allowed Brighton to draw back level on points at the summit of the second tier and now it really does seem as though things are going to go to the wire.
Newcastle, then, need all the help they can get but it looks like DeAndre Yedlin is going to miss out on a crucial part of the season.
He’s set to miss five weeks injured, according to Lee Ryder on Twitter, and that news has really hit our local Magpies hard, as well as those on the social media site.
