West Bromwich Albion are looking at trying to make their squad as strong as possible as they look for a quick return to the Premier League.
The Baggies were relegated from the top-flight last season and Darren Moore has been under increasing pressure to try and keep his main players from departing The Hawthorns this summer.
In what is proving to be a difficult task, Albion have already lost a number of stars during the window and it is expected that a few more could also head for the hills in the coming weeks.
Moore will want to bring in a number of players to ensure his side are still in a position to challenge next year, and according to reports, it appears he has identified a striker he wants to lead the line, should they lose Salomon Rondon or Jay Rodriguez.
According to the Express and Star, the Baggies are considering a swoop for Derby County’s Matej Vydra, who has been strongly linked with a move to Leeds United, as a replacement for the Venezuela and England internationals.
The Verdict:

The Baggies would not go wrong if they were to target Vydra this summer as he has proven to be a much better player than he was five years ago.
The 26-year-old is one of the most prolific strikers when it comes to the Championship and would certainly give the Baggies a chance of returning to the Premier League.
