West Brom keen on big name to lead them back to Premier League football – Report

Allardyce

West Bromwich Albion appear to be favourites to be relegated at the end of the season and their fans in the Transfer Tavern will want to put it behind them as soon as possible.

The Baggies have been without a permanent manager for since they sacked Alan Pardew, with Darren Moore taking temporary control. The former defender has impressed during his short spell at the Hawthorns, having gone unbeaten in his four games so far, matching the points total of his predecessor in his 18 games.

However, according to the Daily Mail, the rock-bottom club are looking at alternative options and see Sam Allardyce an ideal possibility, with the Everton boss’ future in doubt. The Goodison Park faithful are far from happy with the former England manager and are largely urging the board to let him go in the summer.

The Baggies would be interested in bringing him to the Championship as the man to guide them back into the Premier League, as he has proven experience in achieving promotion from the league.

Landlord’s Verdict

The locals in the Tavern would be impressed to get Allardyce at the Hawthorns next season as the man from the Black Country would be a coup for the club that has been relegated. The punters will be hoping the club can make it happen as Big Sam’s future at Everton looks untenable.
