West Bromwich Albion fans have been reacting to Lee Mason’s decision not to award Brighton a goal on Saturday in the Premier League.
The Baggies eventually won the game 1-0 thanks to a goal from Kyle Bartley – the three points are huge in their battle for survival. However, Sam Allardyce and co were arguably lucky to come away with the victory – the Seagulls missed two penalties and had a perfectly valid goal taken away.

In the first-half, Brighton had a free-kick just outside the box. Sam Johnstone was still sorting out his wall when Mason blew his whistle to allow the set-piece to be taken – Lewis Dunk duly hit the back of the net. However, Mason initially chalked the goal off, before overturning his decision. VAR then stepped in to disallow the goal once more in an absolutely farcical situation.

Although the blunder did help out their side, the West Brom fans were honest enough to admit the decision was ridiculous. They took to social media platform Twitter to share their thoughts.
