West Ham United failed to back up their victory against Chelsea with a second successive positive result on Wednesday night as they were beaten 2-0 by Wolves at Molineux.
Manuel Pellegrini’s side were second best throughout the match and managed just three shots on target compared to their opponent’s seven (BBC Sport).
They had Arthur Masuaku sat on the bench, though Pellegrini didn’t opt to bring the DR Congo international on during the match, a decision which certainly confused plenty of Hammers fans.
Many supporters believe that having Masuaku in the team makes them stronger and they cannot understand why he is continually left out.
Indeed he started the season very well and produced three excellent performances against Brighton, Watford and Norwich City, with WhoScored giving him a rating of 7.21 or higher in those fixtures.
However he was then sent off against Aston Villa and since then he has started just once in the league (Transfermarkt).
Here is what some had to say about the 26-year-old’s continued exclusion on Twitter…
How on earth can Masuaku come on against Chelsea & have a positive impact playing in front of Cresswell…to then not get any minutes against Wolves when we are losing with no pace on the pitch 🤯

Not sure what pellegrini’s problem is with Masuaku …

We knew Adama would start so why no start Masuaku? Cresswell being torn apart🥴

How does Masuaku not get a game I’m truly baffled by it

What does Masuaku have to do to start a game

Masuaku has to come in somewhere if we want to start taking points while playing well.
One of the only few players in our squad that’s able to work on Haller’s level.
