West Ham fans on Twitter have been eagerly awaiting some business this month, and the majority of them have been calling for Lucas Perez to be culled today. The Spaniard has had an uneventful time at the London Stadium so far this season, and now he could be set to leave just six months after bringing the striker in from Arsenal.
He is the most likely departure yes https://t.co/5FWwu4dton

The news that Perez could be leaving comes from the very reliable ExWHUemployee on Twitter, who more often than not gets it right when it comes to the Hammers. Whether or not he’s right this time, only time will tell, but the Irons are desperate for this one to come good and for their 30-year-old ex-Deportivo striker to be packing his bags and moving on this month.
Manuel Pellegrini’s West Ham have got loads of strikers. The Hammers have Perez, Marko Arnautovic, Andy Carroll, Javier Hernandez and Michail Antonio in their ranks. However, with Hernandez supposedly on his way out and Arnie out injured, it looks like a move for Perez could leave the Stratford club thin on the ground in their striking department, even if the fans do want the striker to depart.

He doesnt work in premier… better for him to go back in spain

Such a shame about Perez. Lot of talent in practice that hasn't translated onto the pitch. Maybe the pressure of match day affecting his confidence, seems to be a problem that's followed him for years.

Hope so. I’ve disliked him ever since he had that strop toward the start of the season and wouldn’t kit up. Thinks he’s better than he is. He’s average

There’s a video of Noble being interviewed by J. Corden. He says Perez is unbelievable in training and has the best left foot/finisher he’s see at West Ham.
What happened then? He’s huffed and puffed each time he’s come on, scored a couple but never seen this side of him. Shame— Dean Marsh (@deanrmarsh) 30 January 2019

The Hammers will be delighted to see Perez let go before tonight’s deadline and will hope the Spaniard can be moved on in time for Pellegrini to bring in a new man.
