Some West Ham United fans were left fuming with Lukasz Fabianski despite their 3-1 away win over Aston Villa in the Premier League on Wednesday night.
Tomas Soucek opened the scoring at the London Stadium early on in the second half before Jesse Lingard grabbed a debut goal just five minutes later to put David Moyes’ team in a comfortable position.
Should Fabianski start for West Ham?
However, Ollie Watkins managed to pull a goal back for Dean Smith’s side with just under ten minutes to go before Lingard sealed a brace for himself shortly after.
Some Hammers thought that Fabianski could have done a lot better for the goal scored by Villa, and that is now 28 goals that the 35-year-old has conceded in the top flight in just 21 games (Transfermarkt), with the Irons having the worst defensive record in the top half of the table.
Fabianski will need to get back to his best if the East London club are to shock everyone and qualify for European competition for the 2021/22 term, something they currently stand well on track to do.

“Fabianski not good enough there for me – obviously defence was opened up but still”
“Fabianski again at fault, new GK is essential next season #whufc #WHUAVL”
“Fabianski has to do a bit better for me there”
“Fabianski has to get out to that quicker”
“Fabianski does not save a thing does he”
