West Ham: Fans slam Fredericks vs Aston Villa

Lots of West Ham United fans have been firing criticism at Ryan Fredericks over his performance in the east London club’s latest Premier League game versus Aston Villa.
The 28-year-old, who prefers to play as a right-back, started this game at right midfield, as he made his eighth Premier League appearance of the 2020/21 campaign.
Per BirminghamLive, the £3.6m-rated man managed to set up a few potential goalscoring chances for teammates during this contest.
For example, his cross set up a volley for Aaron Cresswell at about the 17-minute mark, he created a goalscoring opportunity for Jesse Lingard about 26 minutes into the match and he created a goalscoring chance for Michail Antonio about 15 minutes into the second half, with BirminghamLive claiming that this chance ‘should have’ been converted.
However, his playmaking seemingly wasn’t good enough to impress a lot of Irons fans on Twitter.
So, what have these West Ham fans been saying about Fredericks?
Many Hammers supporters have made it clear that they don’t rate Fredericks very highly, with one particular fan of the east London club declaring that they believe playing with Fredericks is ‘like playing with 10 men.’
“I really can’t see the need for Fredericks playing RW. Bowen does everything Fredericks is doing defensively but can actually attack.”
“Need to get Fredericks off ASAP. Such a waste being out there”
“Fredericks offers nothing. Watch him score now”
“People saying West Ham playing with 2 RB’s to stop Grealish. Playing Fredericks in any side is like playing with 10 men. #AVLWHU”
“Lingard looks sharp! Antonio is blowing. And Fredericks is a waste”
“Fredericks looks a little lost to me, not managing to get involved”
“Ryan Fredericks weak link”
“Fredericks is so lazy”
