West Ham United have joined the plethora of clubs in pursuit of Lyon winger Tete, according to a report from TalkSPORT

The lowdown: Short-term exit

The 22-year-old was granted special dispensation to join Lyon from Shakhtar Donetsk in order to flee war-torn Ukraine in April and is currently set to leave the Ligue 1 club at the end of the ongoing campaign.

Having brought a 108-game stint to an end in Ukraine, the exciting Brazilian youth starlet has scored once and provided one assist in seven outings since arriving in France.

With the summer transfer window fast approaching, Premier League clubs could be keeping a close eye on Tete's situation...

The latest: Hammers eye wing sensation

As per talkSPORT, West Ham are believed to have 'joined the race' to sign the twice-capped Brazil Under 23 ace.

The report also cites previous admiration from domestic rivals Leicester, Brentford and Southampton in the man nicknamed the 'hurricane' owing to his attacking style.

Furthermore, it's claimed that Tete - who played 70 minutes against Moyes' side in the Europa League this term - will be 'one of the most sought-after players in Europe' this summer.

The verdict: Make it happen

Predominantly operating as a right-winger, the Brazilian would provide sufficient cover for Jarrod Bowen whilst also allowing the Englishman to move seamlessly into a centre-forward role when needed without an adverse impact elsewhere.

Likened to Premier League stars such as Manchester United's Marcus Rashford, Leicester ace Harvey Barnes and West Ham's own Said Benrahma when using the Fbref comparison tool, Tete would appear to be a worthwhile capture for the Irons in terms of calibre.

Fresh off the back of European heartache, Moyes and GSB alike would be wise to plan for their summer targets immediately and the skilful Brazilian would be a smart place to begin.
