According to a report by West Ham insiders Claret & Hugh, Jose Mourinho is keen on bringing out-of-favour defender Issa Diop to Tottenham Hotspur with OGC Nice also sniffing – prompting many Irons to react as this ‘good news’ on a potential player exit emerges.
Diop, who has been left short of match action this season, with manager David Moyes even preferring Craig Dawson in his place, is currently at the centre of interest from Mourinho at Spurs and Nice in Ligue 1.
Should West Ham sell Issa Diop?
No, we need him
Insiders Claret & Hugh reveal that the Portuguese boss is a firm admirer of Diop and a bid for the 6 foot 4 ‘monster‘ could be tabled in his hunt for a quality centre-half.
Meanwhile, French outfit Nice are also reportedly keen on taking Diop in a loan deal – with an offer already tabled.
Despite West Ham allegedly possessing a reluctance over letting him go, mainly due to his crucial presence if injuries were to arise, these supporters agree he should leave.

“@thfcrueben very good player and you should buy him 100%”
“£20m at least please Jose and we can get Caleta or Simikan or someone”
“Controversial perhaps but at this point if we can sell Diop to fund a move for a striker or LWB we should be all over it”
“Sell him. (Provided its £35-£45m) and make Dawson permanent. Then get Moyes the striker he wants.”
