West Ham United have agreed a deal worth £22 million for Hull City forward Jarrod Bowen, that is according to The Athletic correspondent David Ornstein.
It is suggested that Crystal Palace were also in for the 23-year-old but his preference is to go to the Hammers. The deal in place will see them pay an initial £14 million with £8 million then in add-ons. Added to that, club insider @ExWHUemployee has also confirmed that the club have made good progress in their efforts to sign the Hull frontman.
Bowen’s contract was set to expire in the summer, so it seems that the Tigers have decided that they want to cash in on him now rather than losing him for nothing in a few months.
The former Hereford man has been one of the most impressive performers in the Championship, not just this season but for the last couple of years. Indeed, last term he netted 22 league goals in 46 appearances (Transfermarkt) whilst in the current campaign he has an even better strike rate having bagged 16 times in 29 games (Transfermarkt).
It seems that plenty of Hammers fans are absolutely delighted to be signing Bowen, with many taking to Twitter to suggest that he would be a great addition. Here is what some had to say…

If we pulled this off this would be exciting, some very good players in the Championship and he’s certainly one of them who could make the step up
