Crystal Palace have been well and truly dragged into the relegation mix this season and their fans here in the Transfer Tavern haven’t been impressed with what they’ve seen in large spells this campaign.

The Eagles have been poor despite adding heavily to their squad last summer, which is especially worrying given the sheer amount of money spent in both the pre-season window and mid-way through the season.

Even the addition of experienced manager Sam Allardyce has done little to help their cause and Palace fans here in the Tavern have been fearing the worst with the end of 2016/17 edging ever closer.

With the Londoners struggling on the pitch, we want to look at some names that have done a little bit better after leaving Selhurst Park.

So with that in mind, here are TWO players that thrived after moving away from Crystal Palace…

Nathaniel Clyne

Former Crystal Palace youth product Nathanial Clyne is arguably one of the most successful former Eagles of all time, having racked up serious playing time for England and Liverpool.

Palace fans here in the Tavern are real supporters of the right-back and there’s little doubt as his career grows, his talent will too.

Kyle De Silva

The name Kyle De Silva might not ring many bells for supporters away from Palace but for the ‘Eagle-eyed’, they’ll remember him as being one of the hottest prospects seen at the club in years.

He emerged into the first-team back in 2010, where he stayed for five years before leaving due to a lack of first-team football.

He’s currently at FC Eindhoven in the second division in Holland, and whilst it might seem like a step down, he’s playing very well and is being tipped for a move back up the divisions again.
