Wolves have had a solid transfer window having brought in the likes of Portuguese pair Rui Patricio and Joao Moutinho.
Manager Nuno Espirito Santo, though, is still looking to bring in some more new faces before the market closes later today, and one player the club had lined up was Manchester City midfielder Oleksandr Zinchenko.
Wolves had agreed a £16m fee with the Premier League champions for Zinchenko, according to the Daily Mail, but the Ukrainian has since turned down a move to the Molineux.
Zinchenko, who is valued at £6.3m by Transfermarkt, spent most of last season alternating with Fabian Delph at left-back for Manchester City after Benjamin Mendy suffered a serious injury and was sidelined for the majority of the Citizens’ title-winning campaign.
But given that the Frenchman has now returned to full fitness, Zinchenko will likely find playing time hard to come by at the Etihad.
Have a look at what Wolves supporters are saying on Zinchenko’s collapsed move below…

I hear he thought the City bench was more comfortable

Screw that. He’ll be playing little to no football next season then. Come January, hopefully he’ll be full of regret.

I said it yesterday, we want players who want to be here, simple as, if the reports are true I can understand anyone wanting to stay at City under Pep,however, would have to question the attitude of player who has been clearly told surplus to requirements and wants to stay #Bogarde

Let him enjoy reserve football with city then

Surely a player would want to play 1st team football rather than not even being involved on a match day. Shows what’s wrong with modern day players!!
