Many Wolves fans heaped praise on forward Daniel Podence during the first half of his side's Premier League clash against local rivals Aston Villa at Molineux.

The 25-year-old lined up in the number ten role for the West Midlands outfit, with Adama Traore and Pedro Neto alongside him, with Fabio Silva leading the attacking line.

Podence managed to get a few shots off on goal and was troubling the Villains backline, in what was an eye-opening performance from the Portuguese attacker (via The Guardian).

Before the game, Podence had scored twice and provided two assists from 10 starts and was looking to increase his tally before the Christmas period comes to a close (Whosc0red).

With this in mind, supporters were pleased with what they saw from Podence, who has become a mainstay in Nuno Espirito Santo's side since his £16.6m move from Olympiakos last January.
