‘Yeah, we really shouldn’t!’, ‘So weak!’ - Chelsea fans erupt after dissapointing performance of reported target

The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are pretty split on the potential signing of Romelu Lukaku…

The Blues have been linked with a move for Lukaku for several weeks, with Antonio Conte seemingly keen to upgrade the strikers at his disposal. Of course, Diego Costa has been on fire for much of the season, but beyond the Spaniard – Chelsea aren’t exactly blessed with offensive depth.

Certainly, Lukaku would be a good option. He is strong, powerful and, perhaps more importantly, he is an efficient goalscorer. In fact, he is the Premier League’s highest goalscorer at present, which is a testament to his ability.

Nonetheless, his performances in recent weeks have come under the microscope in the pub, and his latest display against Man Utd drew a particular amount of criticism. Unable to take the game by the scruff of the neck, the fans in the pub weren’t impressed with Lukaku’s display – with many describing it as lazy.

Unsurprisingly, the fans on Twitter had a very similar reaction – with many now hoping that Chelsea pass on a move for Lukaku…
