Newcastle fans can count themselves very unlucky not to have any points on the board after their first game against Tottenham on Saturday. However, they lost the game and their starting right-back, DeAndre Yedlin to injury and the supporters were cursing their luck. However, the club posted an injury update for the American on the Newcastle website, and things aren’t so bad.

The 25-year-old American right-back was seen hobbling off the pitch and down the tunnel against his former side and a lot of Magpies were wondering what would happen for their next few games against Cardiff, Chelsea, Manchester City and Arsenal. Whilst they wouldn’t expect to get any points from the games after their trip to Wales, they’ll be desperate to pick up some much-needed points against Neil Warnock’s side.
For that to happen, Rafa Benitez will need to make the trip with his best eleven fully fit and that includes DeAndre Yedlin. The fans will be desperate for Yedlin to play as they’re massively lacking in depth in defence. Even at centre-back, the club are missing Florian Lejeune to injury and the supporters will be hoping that they keep the number of first-teamers out injured at just one as they hope to see Yedlin in the team for Cardiff.

The fans will all be relieved with the news that Yedlin’s injury isn’t serious and they’ll be counting down the days until they get to see him bombing down the right flank again.
