Domestically, the Red Devils struggled last season, but outside of the bubble of the Premier League, they were simply fantastic.
A League Cup win, a Community Shield win and a Europa League win led to Man Utd’s most prolific season in recent memory, and it’s clear that the influence of Jose Mourinho in that regard was massive.
This season their Premier League form has gotten better, with the club currently the only side to still maintain a 100% record in the English top flight.
All in all, things are very good at Man Utd at present, and that has left the fans in the pub wanting Mourinho to stay at the club for the long haul.
Fortunately, a recent report from the Telegraph has made that dream scenario all the more likely, with talks reportedly expected to ramp up in November with regards to a fresh contract for Mourinho.
There’s no doubting that he deserves the show of faith that will provide, and the Man Utd fans on social media have made no effort to hide their delight at the deal. To the contrary, many have been discussing how important the move would be.
