Though not entirely his fault, Wenger has become the face of the club, and the fact that so many players could leave at the end of the season on a free is a massive issue.

The duo of Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil, both of whom would easily fetch over £50 million in today’s market, could be about to leave on a free, and that is a complete failure for the club.

It won’t only decrease the quality of the team, it will also prevent them from signing new players given the financial loss their departures will cause.

Another recent mistake, but this time it’s going to affect all the good that he has achieved throughout his career.

Arsene Wenger’s first years were marked with success and celebration. He won a number of trophies, and cemented himself in the history books as one of the Premier League’s best players.

However, the Frenchman has lost that level of success over the last decade or so, and that has really hurt his legacy. Instead of bowing out as one of the best of all time, his recent failure to achieve domestic and continental success has really left a mark on his tenure, and the fans in the Transfer Tavern won’t ever remember him the same way again.
