Our Manchester United fans here in the Transfer Tavern can’t believe that they are still in sixth in the Premier League – despite their hugely impressive form.

Jose Mourinho’s men have been very strong in recent months after a wobble early on in the season and have done well to keep in touch with the chasing pack behind Chelsea.

The Blues look set to win the league, though, and so it’s going to be a battle royale for those top four spots.

Indeed, United will need to carry on at their best to make sure they qualify for the Champions League with the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic crucial to that.

However, past this season the big Swede may not even be at the club with him recently quoted by the BBC as saying that nothing has been sorted in terms of past this year.

Could we be set for another change up top for United, then? If so, here’s who our landlord reckons should come in…

Edinson Cavani

Cavani has been in cracking form so far this season for PSG and has prospered from finally becoming the main man without Ibrahimovic around.

He’s right in his peak, too, and so if United were to sign him in the summer they should expect him to hit the ground running. He’s got great experience at the very highest levels of the game and our landlord reckons he’d be perfect to lead the line for United if Ibrahimovic goes.

Karim Benzema

Another player who could do a great job in the Premier League has to be Karim Benzema.

The French forward is an out-and-out striker that only wants to do one thing – score goals. In that sense, then, he’d be a very good replacement for Ibrahimovic as he’d help the club continue to have a big focal point to their attack for the likes of Anthony Martial and Juan Mata to work around and supply chances to.
