The Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern are hoping that Mauricio Pochettino will finish off the January transfer window with a bang. The Lilywhites have been very quiet so far this month, but with a few days left until the month comes to an end, there is ample time to get a deal or two over the line.
One deal that is beginning to look increasingly likely is Spurs’ move for PSG attacker Lucas Moura. The Brazilian looks set to leave PSG before Wednesday’s deadline day, and according to Transfer Market Web, the Lilywhites are in the driving seat for a potential deal. Indeed, the Italian publication has even suggested that a deal has already been agreed.
Signing Moura – who is rated at £25.2 million by Transfer Markt – would certainly be a significant statement of intent from Tottenham, with the four-time Ligue 1 winner impressing in France last season.
He’d join a crop of very good attackers at Spurs, and with Pochettino clearly a big fan, where exactly would the Argentine look to fit him in?

LW – Christian Eriksen
Christian Eriksen has blown hot and cold this season, but on his day there is nobody better.
He is the creative spark down the left-hand side of the Tottenham attack, and his quality on the ball is second-to-none.
Having established himself as Tottenham’s first choice in this role, and having begun to regain his form in recent weeks, he’ll be expected to produce a strong second-half of the season.
CAM – Dele Alli
Dele Alli, like Eriksen, has had his fair share of criticism this season.
After a sensational season last term, the Englishman has struggled to really make a big impact this season – though he has remained influential in-front of goal.
He’s still looked good this season, but he’ll be expected to pick it up in the second-half of the season.
RW – Lucas Moura
Lucas Moura has had a tough season, but his quality is undeniable.
One of the most technically gifted players in Europe at present, the Brazilian is sensational on the ball – providing quite the threat going forward. A fantastic dribbler, finisher and passer – he has everything it takes to make an impact in England.
He’ll be quite the coup if Spurs can land him.
ST- Harry Kane
Who else?
Harry Kane has been his usual, influential self at Tottenham this season – and he’ll no doubt be buoyed at the prospect of Moura being signed.
He’ll look to capitalise on the trickery and flair that Moura will inevitably bring to the club if he does join.
