The Lilywhites closed out their time at White Hart Lane against Man Utd with a comfortable 2-1 victory, and what has followed has been an emotional time for the Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern.
For many, White Hart Lane is all that they have known – leaving many feeling sombre ahead of the end of the season.
That being said, the season is not over yet, and given the fine form that Tottenham have enjoyed for much of the campaign, Mauricio Pochettino will undoubtedly want to end it on a high.
Though the club no longer have anything to play for, with Champions League football secured, ending the season poorly will not be tolerated – and so Pochettino will likely pick a full strength side.
With that said, If Pochettino picks this XI, Tottenham will destroy Leicester City…
GK – Hugo Lloris
Hugo Lloris has been excellent this season, positioning himself amongst the best goalkeepers in Europe.
Mauricio Pochettino simply must not lose him this summer.
CB – Jan Vertonghen
Jan Vertonghen is an underrated member of the Tottenham defence, often outshone by his defensive partners.
That being said, he has been in fine form this year – and will impress once again.
CB – Toby Alderweireld
Toby Alderweireld will go down as one of the best bargains in Premier League history, having positioned himself amongst the best defenders in the Premier League.
He has formed a great partnership with his defensive teammates.
