Manchester United are falling behind the chasing pack in the Premier League and their fans here in the Tavern aren’t best pleased about it in the slightest…
The Red Devils have got a busy run of games coming up as Christmas approaches and it’s imperative they start winning matches if they want to have any chance of winning the title come the end of the season.
But it’s not going to be easy – the Red Devils have been underwhelming at times, whilst on other occasions, they’ve been absolutely scintillating.
Finding that balance of consistency will be key for Mourinho and his team going forward and some supporters feel their team are going to need a couple of quality additions going forward.
And it seems the punters here in the pub agree – there is far too much deadwood in this current side and a couple of names need to be replaced.
So with that in mind, here’s 3 ambitious January signings to turn Man Utd’s season around…
Radja Nainggolan

United have one of the best players in Paul Pogba currently anchoring their midfield but at times this campaign, he’s looked a little lost amongst some of his colleagues.
Radja Nainggolan is one of the most underrated powerhouses in the world right now and the Roma man would offer so much consistency going forward.
He’s hard working, reliable and most importantly, has bags of quality.
Jose Gaya

One of the most underrated full-backs in the game, Jose Gaya is a La Liga giant that is more than worthy of a move to the Premier League.
Mystery and inconsistency still surround Luke Shaw’s Man Utd tenure, so the position is one that Mourinho may look to improve.
On top of that, you can never have too much quality in a side that want to win the title come the end of the season.
Gaya is quick and defensively solid – just what Mourinho needs.
Virgil van Dijk

He’s been touted with a move away from Southampton in the Tavern for a long time now and you can really see someone like Virgil van Dijk doing well at Manchester United.
There are still some doubts over Phil Jones’ immediate future and if United are going to have any chance of competing at the top, they need some more quality at the back.
The Dutchman is one of the best defenders in England right now and you wouldn’t rule out a move to Old Trafford, if Mourinho is willing to stump up the cash.
