The future is looking very bright for West Ham fans in the Football Transfer Tavern…
The Hammers have not been up to par this season, and don’t the West Ham fans in the Tavern know it.
Currently languishing dangerously close to the relegation zone, Slaven Bilic’s men have really struggled since moving to the London Stadium.
With a host of players not in form and Bilic seemingly looking lost – the present is not looking too good; but it would appear that things could turn around in the future.
There are a host of young Hammers currently developing through West Ham’s developmental system – and our landlord is touting more than a few of the more offensively-minded players in the system to make the jump into the first team.
With that said, here are 3 emerging West Ham attacking talents to get fans excited…
Martin Samuelson
Plucked from the Man City academy, Martin Samuelson is a young attacking midfielder that truly has the world at his feet.
Excellent on the ball, delicate when passing and all whilst maintaining defensive stability – Samuelson has it all.
He is poised and elegant on the ball, rarely succumbing to an opposition tackle and often looking ahead to set up the next move.
He’ll be in the first team before you know it.
Domingos Quina
Domingos Quina is another player that was developed away from West Ham, but in what could certainly be considered a coup – West Ham managed to bag the talented Portuguese attacker from the grasp of Chelsea.
He has really impressed since his arrival with his expert ball control and dribbling, and when combined they make him a nightmare for opposition defenders.
Quina can play on the wing, but is best used as a number 10. Our landlord thinks that he could be the heir apparent to Dimitri Payet…
Ashley Fletcher
Not much needs to be said about Ashley Fletcher.
The young striker has already made an impact in the West Ham first team, and he looks likely to be the next young Hammer to make the jump into the first team.
Taken from Man Utd, the Red Devils will no doubt be rueing what a missed opportunity he was.
A prolific front man with an added technical edge – Fletcher could be a top player in the years to come.
