Though the Tottenham Hotspur fans in the Transfer Tavern couldn’t hope to match the lavish spending sprees enjoyed by some of their rivals, they’ve been impressed all the same.
The likes of Vincent Janssen, Moussa Sissoko and Vincent Wanyama have added strength and depth into a squad that looked a little thin on the ground last term.
As much as Mauricio Pochettino has streamlined the squad since his arrival back in 2014, there’s a number of players on Hotspur Way who look somewhat out of place.
Following sensible summer additions, there is no longer too much of a pressing need to keep bodies at White Hart Lane just in case an injury crisis hits.
Despite having one of the smaller squads in the Premier League, there’s little doubt there are a number of players Pochettino should axe from his ranks.
With that in mind, here are THREE players Tottenham really should have sold by now.
Kevin Wimmer

There’s nothing distinctly wrong with Kevin Wimmer, who is a solid enough defender.
Still, the excellence of both Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld, coupled with both the emergence of Cameron Carter-Vickers and versatility of Eric Dier mean there’s little place for the Austrian.
Tom Carroll

Used as an impact substitute and fresh legs last term, Tom Carroll will surely see his role reduced following the arrival of Victor Wanyama.
Harry Winks’ new deal in North London suggests the club see the 20-year-old as the future, not Carroll.
Due to the ridiculous inflation put on English talent, he could demand a sizeable figure.
Federico Fazio

Though the aforementioned pair have their good qualities, Federico Fazio has been a dismal flop since joining in 2014.
Loaned out twice, the Argentine should have been permanently axed a long time ago.
