3 reasons why West Ham simply must axe Slaven Bilic ASAP

The horror show that is West Ham’s 2016/17 season just keeps on going and at this rate they could seriously find themselves in a proper relegation fight for the duration of the campaign.

Indeed, our Hammers fans are very worried that that is exactly what could come to pass with their side looking a complete shadow of the one that did them so proud last season.

They have struggled to settle into their new home, struggled to score goals and have looked completely bereft of any confidence more often than not this season.

Last time out will have come as a real kick in the teeth, too, as they threw away three points at White Hart Lane to lose 3-2 to Spurs in a game that suggests time is running out of Slaven Bilic.

Considering the nature of life in a Premier League management position, the former Besiktas coach surely can’t rest on last season’s laurels.

In fact, our landlord reckons it’s time he goes and so here are THREE reasons to help explain exactly why…

Underperforming

This West Ham side is drastically underperforming especially when you compare it to last season.

In 2015/16 the Hammers were in fine form and finished and impressive seventh place in the Premier League with away wins at the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City.

Now, though, with the same squad and some additions they are nowhere and Bilic has to take some blame for that.

Poor transfer dealings

zazazazaa

In the summer of 2015, Bilic signed the likes of Dimitri Payet and Manuel Lanzini who were pretty strong acquisitions but things have gone horribly wrong since then.

None of the Hammers’ signings for this campaign have settled in well for a varied amount of reasons and whilst Bilic can’t take the blame for the injury of Andre Ayew for example, he should take some for bringing in Simone Zaza and Alvaro Arbeloa.

Mentally weak team

The Hammers just don’t look mentally strong enough to compete at the moment and that has to be the most worrying sign with the team dangerously close to the relegation zone.

They seemed to improve a few weeks ago but confidence has taken another hit and they look in desperate need of a lift.

Bilic looks less and less the man to give them that, though, so it should be curtains for him.
