The 2016/17 season started off slowly for the Lilywhites, but Mauricio Pochettino has finally got his side playing well once more.

They looked likely to struggle to finish in the top 4 a few months ago, but what a difference a few games make. Now, many of the punters in the Transfer Tavern think that the London-based side are going to the main rivals to Chelsea in pursuit of the Premier League title this season.

However, whilst Tottenham’s return to form has been remarkable – there has been a couple of notable casualties, most notably a few players that haven’t really been receiving much game time.

It is a normal consequence of an upturn in form, of course, but with Mauricio Pochettino largely settled in who is in his regular plans – a few players might be forced to move away to get regular game time.

With that said, here are 3 Spurs players who’d be best off leaving the club this month – Agreed?

 Ben Davies

Ben Davies is certainly good enouh to play regularly for Tottenham, but his main problem is the vast quality that he has to compete against.

Tottenham’s defensive line is undoubtedly the strongest area on the pitch for Pochettino, and Davies is unfortunate that the likes of Rose and Alderweireld are both performing spectacularly in the defence.

He could stick around and hope for an injury or a bit of luck – but if he wants to ensure regular game time, a departure might make sense.

 Georges-Kevin N’Koudou

Georges-Kevin N’Koudou has had a strange tenure at Tottenham, and as of yet he has failed to light the Premier League up as we had all expected.

He is still young, though, and a slow adjustment is certainly to be expected.

The problem for the youngster, though, is that Tottenham have a lot of depth in the attack, and he isn’t going to get much game time if he continues to remain at the club.

A short 6 month loan deal could make sense for him, and allow him to get used to life in England.

 Vincent Janssen

Vincent Janssen came to England with a lot of expectation, but it just hasn’t worked out for him.

Harry Kane is one of the Premier League’s most consistent players, and so there is no chance of him getting a regular starting spot whilst Kane is fit – and so a departure might be necessary.

Granted, he hasn’t been in London long enough to have much of an impact – but he needs to ensure that he leaves the club with his reputation still intact.

He has shown no signs of improvement, so a move away makes sense.
