Aston Villa supporters in the Football Transfer Tavern have been trying anything to forget about the torturous campaign that they had to endure last season.
The punters had to watch on as their team got relegated in embarrassing fashion.
However, this is a new season and the Midlands drinkers in the Tavern are a lot more hopeful about this season, with a new manager, new signings and most importantly a new attitude.

Rebuilding
The club are being totally rebuilt and in all honesty it was needed. Roberto Di Matteo has been brought in as manager and he will be looking to put his stamp on the club and change the feeling around the camp from last year.
Idrissa Gueye is among those who have left but players such as Tommy Elphick and Ross McCormack have joined him, which has helped Villa to prepare for the Championship.
It could be a slow start, with players getting used to each other but once the season is underway, the effects of the rebuild should be evident for all to see.
Fight
One thing that was missing last season was fight, but that shouldn’t be the case this season.
With Micah Richards and Tommy Elphick at centre back, any player that isn’t playing for the team could be on the end of a telling off.
Rudy Gestede will also be a determined man this season, his Premier League move went far from how he would have wanted, but now that he is back in the Championship he will be determined to show the Villa fans what he is capable of and fire the club up the table.
Goals
When Gestede was last in the Championship he scored 20 goals and Ross McCormack scored or assisted 30 goals for Fulham last season.
Should these two get played together and strike up a good partnership then they could get a lot of goals.
Not forgetting the likes of Jordan Ayew, Jack Grealish and Adama Traore who should chip in with quite a few goals each, should they stay of course.
