After a fantastic season last year, Tottenham were expected to go one better this season and really challenge for the title – but as of yet, it hasn’t really worked out that way.

October was a poor month for the Lilywhites, and it saw Pochettino’s side drop down the table and out of the title picture, at least for the time being.

In truth, Mauricio Pochetino has a lot of work to do to get his side back on top – and with the January transfer window fast approaching, our landlord thinks that he should look to invest quickly and bring some top players in.

 Ross Barkley

Ross Barkley is an exciting young player, but as of late, he has simply not been good enough.

Our landlord thinks that a move to Tottenham could be the reset button that he so desperately needs.

Mauricio Pochettino has a proven track record with regards to getting the best out of young English players, with the likes of Dele Alli and Eric Dier making the jump into the Tottenham first team in recent years.

If anyone can help Barkley reach his potential, it is Pochettino.

 Javier Hernandez

There can be no doubts about it – Tottenham are far too reliant upon Harry Kane.

The English forward is a fantastic striker, but when he was injured a few weeks ago – Tottenham looked poor

Vincent Janssen is simply not good enough to man the Tottenham attack on his own, and Pochettino desperately needs a bit more depth.

Hernandez has been on fire for Leverkusen this season, with 5 goals already. He could be a great option.

 Wilfried Zaha

We just mentioned Ross Barkley as a player that Pochettino could turn from a good player into a great player – and Wilfried Zaha is another attacker that the Argentine boss could have a similar impact upon.

After a stuttering spell at Man Utd, Zaha returned to Palace a few years ago – and he hasn’t looked back.

He has really impressed under Pardew, and Pochettino could be the man to take him to the next level.

Zaha differs from most at Tottenham in that he is a direct, fast and powerful – and he would offer Pochettino a fantastic alternative.
