Having had to endure their first campaign in the London Stadium so far, it seems the West Ham United fans in the Transfer Tavern finally feel they can start to enjoy it now following the public airing of the ugly Dimitri Payet saga. 

Now, it seems as if the Hammers are finally united under Slaven Bilic and those in claret and blue can start looking up and ahead, hopefully giving the long-suffering fans games to enjoy at their new home between now and the end of the season.

Still, with Payet strongly linked with a move away from east London just 18 months after joining, perhaps the 29-year-old isn’t the only player currently on the books who’d be best served with a move away from Stratford during the January transfer window.

With that in mind, here’s a look at THREE West Ham players who’d be better off leaving the club this January.

Gokhan Tore

Just one of the summer signings the club made that has yet to work out as hoped, Turkish international Gokhan Tore surely has no future in east London. Linked with a quick-fire exit, the one-time Chelsea player has struggled to wholly convince whatsoever.

With the likes of Michail Antonio and Manuel Lanzini impressing of late, surely a move away is on the cards.

Ashley Fletcher

Perhaps not on a permanent deal, though Ashley Fletcher is a huge striking talent and could have a huge future in the game. However, the former Manchester United trainee isn’t getting much in the way of game time right now and his career would be best served by banking some first-team minutes.

Dimitri Payet

Is there any coming back for Dimitri Payet now?

As wonderful a talent as he is to watch when in full flow, the 29-year-old has surely called an end to his claret and blue career by telling the Irons he no longer wishes to play for them.

Having performed so well without him during that win over Crystal Palace, there’s life after Dimitri for our east London locals and they hope his exit is sealed very quickly indeed.
