Our Tottenham fans here in the Transfer Tavern can’t wait to see their side in action later tonight as they head to West Ham for a massive London derby.

The Lilywhites have been going along brilliantly this season but it does appear that they are going to fall short in the title race as Chelsea continue to win games.

Even so, a win against West Ham would see them go to a point behind the Blues and that may just add some extra pressure on the men from Stamford Bridge.

For sure, though, the game at the London Stadium is not going to be a straightforward affair as the Hammers will be eager to effectively end Tottenham’s challenge with a win of their own.

It could be quite the game, then, but our landlord reckons Spurs will win it if Mauricio Pochettino goes with this line-up…

GK: Hugo Lloris

There can be no doubt that Lloris has been key this season and he’ll need to be at it for this one.

RB: Kieran Trippier

Trippier seems to have the jump over Kyle Walker at the moment and we expect that to continue for this one.

His delivery could be crucial for Spurs to win the game.

CB: Toby Alderweireld

Alderweireld has been a class act this season once again and Spurs need to get him tied down to a fresh contract as soon as is possible.

CB: Jan Vertonghen

Vertonghen has been brilliant alongside Alderweireld and was a machine against Arsenal last time out. Keeping a clean sheet for this one is of paramount importance.

LB: Ben Davies

Davies has been good in the place of Danny Rose this season and should start again here. He’ll want assurances of first team football next season, though, before making any decision to stay in the summer.

CDM: Victor Wanyama

Wanyama has been one of the signings of the season and could be key for this one. The midfield battle will be fierce but, fortunately, that is what the Kenyan absolutely loves.

CDM: Mousa Dembele

Speaking of a man that likes to duke it out in midfield, Dembele should be back and fit to start. A real powerhouse in midfield, he’ll be looking to take on Cheikhou Kouyate.

RAM: Christian Eriksen

Eriksen has proven himself a top drawer player in recent months and doesn’t always get the credit he deserves. Expect him to be the master craftsman again for this one.

CAM: Dele Alli

Alli scored yet again at the weekend against Arsenal and continues to impress. He’ll be eager to notch another London derby strike in this one.

LAM: Heung-min Son

Son really has stepped up in place of Erik Lamela this season and there is a real case to suggest he’ll be there come next season, too. A hugely underrated talent.

ST: Harry Kane

You can tell how much Kane wants the title and he’ll be determined to get Spurs over the line in this one. It’ll then be up to Chelsea to respond against Middlesbrough.
