The Sunderland fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are not enjoying life under David Moyes…
With the Black Cats currently struggling in the relegation zone, the Sunderland fans in the Tavern are seriously concerned that their Premier League luck might be about to run out.
Whilst they have picked up a couple of wins in recent weeks, they remain at the bottom of the table – and in truth, a few of our punters think that the writing is on the wall already.
This weekend they face another tough test as Leicester make the trip to the Stadium of Light, and whilst it has been far short of a fortress this season – home games are always more productive than away trips.
Leicester themselves have struggled this season, and so the punters in the Tavern are split on who they think is going to win this one.
With that said, Moyes must field this Sunderland XI to down Leicester City on Saturday
GK – Jordan Pickford
Jordan Pickford has been the breakout star in the Sunderland first team this season, and whilst the Black Cats themselves have struggled this season – he has consistently looked solid.
He will be important.
LB – Patrick van Aanholt
Patrick van Aanholt is an attacking full back, but against Leicester’s speedy forward line – he will need to focus on defending primarily.
He needs to perform well.
CB – Lamine Kone
Lamine Kone is Sunderland’s most high profile defender, and after holding on to him over the summer – he needs to start repaying his club’s faith.

RB – Billy Jones

Ndong is crucial to the Sunderland midfield – and Leicester City’s threatening attack will prove to be a difficult challenge for him.

A hard-working attacking midfielder, Duncan Watmore has been good this season.

Victor Anichebe has had a bit of an extended run in the first-team over the last few weeks, and that is a testament to his hard work behind the scenes.
