Manchester United head into this evening’s clash with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge as the form side in the Premier League.
Louis van Gaal’s side have recorded six straight victories, three of which have come against top four rivals such as Tottenham, Liverpool and Manchester City.
A win over Mourinho’s men tonight will confirm to United fans they are back to their best, and keep them with an outside shot of a 21st title.
It is looking likely to be a step too far for them this season, but next term we can expect a proper title challenge.
A lot will depend on the business they do in the summer, and whilst there are expected to be more expensive incomings, we can also expect some departures.
Here we have identified five players the supporters cannot wait to see the back of – with Fellaini and Young not included!

Adnan Januzaj
There are few Manchester United fans who would want to see the Belgian depart the club on a permanent basis, but he is nowhere near a first team place at the moment – so a loan move would be wise.
Januzaj has struggled to show any sort of progression this season under Louis van Gaal, and actually has more yellow cards for diving than goals to his name.
His on the field attitude has not been particularly impressive, and it seems as though he has plenty to learn before he becomes this midfield star so many have predicted he will be.
Chris Smalling
Louis van Gaal is constantly keen to remind us how well his defence has performed this season in a bid to silence the critics. But the harsh truth of the matter is that Chris Smalling is simply not good enough to be a first choice centre back for United for the years to come, and had David De Gea not been so sensational this season, a few more people may have started to realise.
Van Gaal has made two new centre back’s a must for the summer transfer window, and if he is able to land his top targets, it will be interesting to see what happens to Smalling.
Jonny Evans
Of Manchester United’s holy trinity of centre backs, Jonny Evans is perhaps the most vulnerable to a summer departure – despite being the most experienced.
He has lost his first team place to Smalling and Jones since being banned for a horrible spitting incident with Papiss Cisse, which was the low point in a season in which he has struggled to replicate the kind of form he produced during Sir Alex Ferguson’s final year in charge.
This season was a chance for Evans to establish himself as the experienced first choice centre back at Old Trafford, but there have been far too many mistakes for supporters liking.
Radamel Falcao
Manchester United fans could not believe their luck when Radamel Falcao was confirmed as a deadline day loan signing.
However the Colombian has endured a wretched first season in England, attempting to justify his £40million asking price and £200,000 a week wages with just four goals all season.
Monaco are hoping United will still attempt to make the loan move permanent, but you will be hard pushed to find a United supporter who thinks he is worth the asking price.
Tom Cleverley
United’s forgotten man has spent the season on loan at Aston Villa, where he has been attempting to prove he is capable of holding down a midfield place at Old Trafford for years to come.
It has been the same old story for Cleverley however, with plenty of ‘dirty work’ in the middle of the park, but appalling statistics when it comes to goals and assists.
This season has simply comfirmed what most United fans already knew – he is simply not good enough, and should move away permanently in the summer.
