As Aston Villa fans in the Tavern begin to prepare for life in the Championship next season following their relegation from the Premier League, their owners will most certainly be thinking about players who could depart before they look to bring in new players.
The Villans’ season has been abysmal, with our regular punters agreeing that the overall quality of the squad is lacking massively in some areas and team chemistry is very poor.

Brad Guzan
Villa have conceded a staggering 65 goals this term in the Premier League, so questions have to be raised surrounding the goalkeeper.
Brad Guzan has been at Villa Park for around 8 years since his arrival back in 2008, but there can be no room for sentiment.
Villa should look to invest in a new, younger alternative to replace the 31-year old stopper.
Joleon Lescott
Lescott’s season has been dire, both on and off the pitch, following a string of controversial comments on social media.
The 33-year old is a Premier League winner, yet he has failed to implement any kind of experience, leadership or quality within the heart of the defence, and many expect him to leave in the summer.
Gabriel Agbonlahor
Another of Villa’s long-serving stars is striker Gabriel Agbonlahor, who has spent every single of his 11 professional seasons of his career at Villa Park.
However, recent antics surrounding the use of laughing gas and a failure to remain in a fit condition see Villa reportedly desperate for him to leave.
He has featured over 300 times for the Villans but his future at the club has been subject to huge speculation and recent months, and perhaps now is the time to move on.
Leandro Bacuna
Another player who should definitely see the door this summer is Leandro Bacuna.
The 24-year old does offer versatility as he has played at full-back.
However, the Dutchman’s primary position is on the wing, though his competence is limited. He has made 31 appearances in all competitions this term, yet he has only managed a single goal from 38 attempts and has failed to provide a single assist.
Scott Sinclair
Another former Manchester City star who should leave the club is Scott Sinclair.
The 27-year old has failed to utilise the pace and skill for which he was signed, contributing just 2 league goals and 0 assists in the Premier League this season.
The Englishman could potentially help the club in their battle to regain promotion in the next campaign following his role in Swansea’s promotion to the top tier, but it would not be unexpected if he did leave.
