
Arsenal fans were expecting a summer of spending from Arsene Wenger and an influx of new talent at the club but it seems as though Gael Clichy could be instigating the start of a mass exodus away from the Emirates. The Left back has rejected a contract extension from the club with a view to finding a new footballing home.

Sky Sports News have reported that a bid in the region of £5 Million has been offered for the Frenchman’s services with Liverpool believed to be the most interested party. Liverpool have struggled with their left back position this season after Konchesky couldn’t hack the pressure of such a big club, leaving Dalglish eager to fill the gap this summer.
Liverpool have targeted Lyon’s Aly Cissohko as a possible target but with this recent revelation, have turned their eyes to the cheaper and Premier League experienced Clichy.
After yet another trophy-less campaign for Arsenal it seems as though the players are not satisfied with the progress of the club, leaving many to consider their footballing futures.
