The Tottenham Hotspur fans were absolutely delighted in the Transfer Tavern last night after their side grabbed a late winner to snatch all three points against Crystal Palace.
The Lilywhites took another huge steps towards Champions League qualification yesterday afternoon as they managed to grind out a 1-0 victory at Selhurst Park courtesy of Harry Kane’s 88th minute header. Crystal Palace have proven that they can be a difficult side to beat at home this season, and they demonstrated that once again yesterday by restricting Spurs to only a handful of chances.
Although there were a handful of Tottenham fans who were rather disappointed with the decision, Pochettino opted to start Erik Lamela (valued at £22.5 million by Transfermarkt) from the outset yesterday on the right-side of midfield.
Pochettino’s decision to include Lamela enabled the Argentine to make his 100th Premier League appearance for the club since he moved from Roma in 2013, and he personally spoke of his pride to reach that landmark via his official Twitter page yesterday.

In response to Lamela’s post, the Tottenham supporters turned out in their numbers to congratulate him on his latest achievement and spoke of their admiration for his footballing ability.
Lamela has divided opinion amongst the Spurs supporters during his career in North-London, but his work-rate and passion for the club has certainly earned him some admirers if the reaction to his post is anything to by.
