Though silly season is always likely to throw up some strange rumours and reports, the Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern can’t quite get over the latest one.
Indeed, former United star Jonny Evans has been touted as a potential target for their rivals, Manchester City.
While the Northern Irishman is clearly a good defender, the idea of seeing a man they sold to West Brom move to Pep Guardiola’s revolution at the Etihad is certainly one that takes some getting used to.
Barely the most glamorous of names for the Spaniard, it’s certainly one of the most bizarre rumours of the summer.
