Andy Gray & Richard Keys Suspended

The Mirror have confirmed the rumour that was flying this morning that the Deadly Duo that made ‘those’ sexist remarks have been suspended from tonight’s Monday Night Football.

We covered the news HERE yesterday.

Apologists for the pair include Talksport’s Alan Brazil who actually referred to the incident as a stitch-up. Brazil was prickly this morning on his breakfast show over the incident and bizarrely insisted on repeating the phrase ‘two Sky presenters’ when referring to the story as if the identity of Gray and Keys was somehow in doubt.

Clearly he’s a pal and the idea of naming them endlessly stuck in his throat. It was only towards the close of his show that the mp3 recording was played and you really could sense Brazil wasn’t comfortable with it being aired.

Karren Brady was fastest out the traps (I didn’t mean it like that) and not only said that the comments made her blood boil but went on to make an allegation that Keys had acted inappropriately with her in the past and when she had criticised the pair making fun of Uriah Rennie Keys had taken it upon himself to telephone Brady and ‘warn her off’.

The overwhelming result of this SKY public relations disaster is that whilst most people found the remarks offensive, virtually everyone finds Gray and Keys hateful.

Their comments simply confirm the suspicion in many viewers minds that they are a deeply unpleasant pair of smug, self serving jackals.

Well now, when it comes to football, one man has for many years been the most noticeable, the most controversial, and occasionally the most successful blogger this country has ever produced. His pithy words and abrasive style make him as famous off the pitch as he is on it. This man is Escapini. "I love football. Football she's a cruel mistress. She's, she's more than a mistress. She's a wife, she's a mother, she's a daughter, she's an errant child. She's a… she's a… she can make you laugh, she make you cry. She can bring tears me eyes. She can bring blood to me shoulders. She can bring a kettle to the boil." "Cause football is about nothing, unless it's about something and what it is about, is football."
