Arsenal fans are once again shaking their heads here in the Football Transfer Tavern as Metro claim that Arsene Wenger is remaining unaffected by the latest outbursts from fans.

The discontent at the Emirates Stadium is rather high these these days and does not seem to be abating.

With the January transfer window probably about to make things worse, our regulars in the tavern are not exactly impressed to hear the Frenchman’s latest comments.

Wenger defiantly claimed: “That is not my problem [if they don’t like me]. My problem is to win football games.

“I am not a politician who has a poll every week to see if you support me. I am paid to win games. My sense is to focus on my job.

“Honestly you don’t think I will find 20 people who say that you are rubbish? Do they represent the majority of people? I don’t know but you have to win your football games, that’s all.”

However as our landlord notes over a pint, if Wenger’s job is to win games, he is not exactly doing that either – so the fans are by his own definition, right to question him.
