Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern are coping with a shock defeat to Sheffield Wednesday yesterday and their morale has been raised after a huge boost ahead of the January window.
The Daily Express states Isco has informed Real Madrid he wants to leave the club, requesting a ‘change in scenery, handing Arsenal an incredible chance to sign one of Europe’s most exciting midfielders.
However, the Gunners could face competition for his signature; as The Daily Star states Liverpool and Chelsea will rival Arsene Wenger’s side for the talented 23-year-old.
The Spaniard would command a hefty fee, likely to be around £35m, but would be the ideal long-term successor to Santi Cazorla in the Arsenal midfield and would also provide an option to the Gunners right-hand side, which is currently plagued with injury concerns.
Aaron Ramsey has been sidelined until mid-November, whilst Arsenal lost Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to muscle problems within the opening 20 minutes of their 3-0 defeat to Sheffield Wednesday.
The Arsenal fans at the bar are extremely excited by this transfer report, believing that Isco could provide the catalyst towards a successful Premier League title push.
