Arsenal are reportedly ready to offer David Luiz a new one year extension on his current contract, but it could be on reduced terms, as per The Daily Mirror.
Mikel Arteta is keen to keep the central defender who they signed from Chelsea for next season as his current deal expires on June 30.

Luiz’s agent Kia Joorabchian has said there is a very high chance that his client will stay at the Emirates and that comes after talks on a new contract.
However, due to the global pandemic, this could mean that the Gunners offer Luiz a deal based more on appearances and incentives to try and reach a compromise with all parties keen to get it done.
AFC have insisted that they paid less than £1 million in agent fees to get the original deal over the line and are hopeful that they can reach agreement with Joorabchian.

However, the team do have a plethora of centre halves with Sokratis, Rob Holding, Shkodran Mustafi and Calum Chambers as well as new addition William Saliba coming in.
Nevertheless, there is a desire to keep Luiz who has impressed Arteta with his leadership qualities and overall performances and now the Spanish coach apparently wants to get it done quickly.
This is perhaps not a surprise given that the 33-year old has been Arteta’s most used player so far this season, with 14 appearances in total under him, according to Transfermarkt.
It seems as if Luiz’s manager would like to keep the Brazilian international if possible, but that could well be up to the player and his agent if he is to stay for a further year.
