They claim that Arsenal are considering a mind blowing move for one of their former players.

It is not just a move for any old player either, but as one of our punters notes, it is a move for a player who claimed that he nearly crashed his car after being offered £60,000 per week, not to mention being happy to be tapped up by rivals Chelsea while eventually moving across London to his new club.

We are of course talking about Ashley Cole, who has found himself firmly on the sidelines under Jose Mourinho this season, with the manager preferring to play Cesar Azpilicueta at left back.

Cole has made no secret of his unhappiness and given Arsene Wenger has made no secret of the fact that he would be more than happy to re-sign the defender, it has left our punters wondering exactly what is going on.

Cole is of course now 33-years-old and has seen not only his position in the Chelsea side come under threat but also his place in the England national side also with Leighton Baines looking set to take the starting left back berth at the World Cup.
